There is a known error with Google Places where when you use the bulk upload listing feature, your business categories may go bonkers.
A parking lot company said they are "having an issue" with their Google Maps listings. He said Google is saying there "is a problem with my categories, but when I update them, the error is still there."
Jade Wang from Google responded saying it is a known issue:
This is a known issue (strange behavior with categories in some bulk upload listings). We're working on it; thanks for letting us know!
Working on it for how long? Is it a new issue or just a lingering issue on the back burner? As you know, Google Places is polluted with bugs.
