Bing announced they have updated Bing News to add a news carousel for specific types of searches. They also added related individuals on the right hand side. Finally, when the search is not news related or doesn't have fresh news stories, Bing will show you older results.
The news carousel shows when you search for a notable person in current events.
On the search results that aren't fresh, Bing said they have extended their news articles index beyond two weeks. They can now look back over several years when there is nothing fresh to show you.
