Bartosz Góralewicz

This is part of the say something nice about an SEO/SEM series - feel free to nominate someone over here.

Bartosz Góralewicz is 32 years old and was born and raised in Wrocław, Poland, also this is where his agency is based. He lives there with his wife and two wonderful baby girls. He told me his biggest challenge is finding the right balance between his SEO career and his family. His wife, who is a successful photographer, supported him early on as he got his agency off the ground and with both having busy careers, it is hard to strike the right balance. I am sure he is doing just fine with that, since it is a concern at the top of his mind.

Bartosz is own as a technical SEO in the field that gets it. Not only does he get it, he makes sure others get it as well. He spends a ton of his time educating those in the industry through speaking around the world, writing content on industry publication web sites and sharing ideas and debates on social media.

He shares new findings around technical SEO, things like how Google interacts with JavaScript, AJAX and many types of technical SEO challenges. His agency won "Best SEO Campaign” at the UK Search Awards, so he is doing some good work.

Bartosz is well respected, well liked and a good and honest man.

He was nominated by someone in the industry that wants to be unnamed who wrote:

Bartosz is undeniably a top notch SEO, having a deep expertise in technical SEO and a great understanding of the various factors in SEO.

Bartosz Góralewicz Bio: Bartosz Góralewicz is a co-founder and head of SEO at Elephate, an award winning SEO and Content Marketing agency that specializes in preventing and curing technical SEO issues for businesses of all sizes, including renowned international corporations. He is passionate about sharing his expertise and frequently publishes thorough case studies. In his off time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young baby girls.

Favorite thing about the SEO community? The SEO community is like my second family. I spend a good part of the year at SEO conferences all over the world and this is one of the most welcoming, warm and inspiring groups of people I can imagine. If I were to point out one of the most important things, it would be the "no drama" factor. We are all focused on helping each other and there is no envy. Everyone is focused on making the internet a better place.

One piece of advice to the SEOs out there? Focus on research and experiments rather than gut feelings, or worse - conspiracy theories. SEO has become much more technical and complicated over the last couple of years and only those who adapt will survive.

Favorite things in general? I would love this part to be about all the sports I love, etc., but somehow I fit into the nerd stereotype quite well and sports are not my thing. I sometimes longboard when I travel as it is a nice way to commute in all those nice places, but my ratio for falling down is quite high regardless of my experience. I guess this is God telling me I am not made for sports :)

My biggest passion is research, investigation, and challenging myself. I think this is why some of my articles have gotten so much traction. I love technical SEO, but often it isn’t as much about SEO as finding something nobody else has found yet. This is highly addictive and is definitely a love/hate thing. There is something pulling me to look into so many things, and it is often stealing my attention from things I REALLY should be doing :)

What you want to be known for in the SEO space? Research and technical SEO. Helping the SEO community understand how Search Engines work and how to use that in real life to make your website rank better. No bullshit, no filler content.

I really look up to SEOs like Marcus Tandler, Kristine Schachinger or Tom Anthony. They are the nicest people I know. They are smart and successful, but also humble. They are great examples to follow. I am not sure if I can pull this off, but that would definitely be the ultimate goal for me.
