I spotted a thread at the Bing Forums where an official Microsoft representative, "cashbackGreg," offered some insight into new features that may be coming to the Bing Cashback program. Bing's Cashback program gives you a way to get cash back from Microsoft for purchased made through discovering them at Bing. A Google News publisher asked in a Google News Help thread why his publication rarely comes up in the Google News alerts for specific queries he subscribed to. Inbal from Google explained how alerts get sent and how you need to rank in Google News to be included. As many of you know, Google is giving us a preview of their major indexing and infrastructure update. They named this update, the Caffeine Update. Yesterday I spotted a thread at Google Web Search Help forums, with one SEO asking Google to change the name. I didn't know this, but Mormons mostly don't drink caffeine. If you visit the Google home page, you will see a special doodle representing the Perseid meteor shower. The special meteor shower is expected to pass by earth today with about a 100 meteors per hour flying by and burning up in Earth's atmosphere.
