Google Poll Shows Most Webmasters Go Responsive With Mobile Configuration

Jan 12, 2015 - 8:03 am 3 by

Google's Webmaster team on Google+ posted a poll asking which configuration are you using for your mobile friendly web site? Is it responsive, dynamic serving, separate desktop and mobile URLs or are you not mobile friendly yet?

The poll has over 600 responses thus far, and 82% of those responses say they went responsive design with their mobile friendly configuration. Only 7% said they are not mobile friendly yet, 6% said they use separate URLs and 4% said they do dynamic serving (this site is part of the 4% for now).

Here are the poll results as of now:

Google Mobiel Poll

I bet this is far from what the web looks like and I'd love for Google to share stats on the whole web. I bet it is more like 80% of the web pages on the internet are not mobile friendly.

In any event, those webmasters following Google Webmaster on Google+ are going responsive for the most part.
