Google Extends Deadline For Tax & Ship Requirements For Merchant Data Feeds

Google Merchant LogoThe Google Merchant Center Blog announced they have extended the June 6th deadline to September 1st, where the requirement is to have shipping and tax information within your data feeds.

Google explained that "based on feedback received from merchants" they are extending the deadline until September 1. Not only that, Google is permitting estimates for tax/shipping information. Google did add that they "recommend reviewing the submission options and submitting the most accurate information that you can, as this ensures the best experience for shoppers."

  • For Feeds Targeting the United States, United Kingdom, France and Germany: The June 6 deadline for providing shipping information has been extended to September 1.
  • For Feeds Targeting the United States: The June 6 deadline for providing tax information has been extended to September 1.
