Clara Schumann Google Logo

Google is honoring the life of Clara Schumann on her 193rd birthday today with a special Google logo.

Clara Schumann was a German Pianist well known for her long 61-year concert career and being one of the first pianists to perform from memory. She played Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Chopin, and Schumann.

She is known for changing the way Pianist perform.

Google is recognizing her accomplishments with a special Google Doodle. The Doodle shows a piano with children playing around her, of course with the Google letters.

Schumann died from a stroke on May 20, 1896 at the aged of 76 in Frankfurt, Germany.
