Yesterday, August 15th, was India's independence day. Google had a beautiful logo up for the day, it was animated and done very well. Except, there was one small problem, when you clicked through, you received a "did you mean" result, because it was spelled wrong.
Here is a picture of the logo:
But like I said, if you clicked through on the logo, it took you to [India Indpendence Day], where Independence was spelled 'Indpendence.'
Kind of embarrassing, don't you think? The typo wasn't live long.
Googler, JohnMu in a Google Webmaster Help thread responded after a number of complaints:
Thanks for reporting this embarrassing issue. I believe it should be fixed now.
Of course, this wasn't John's fault, but he likely was able to expedite the fix.

May be google spelled it wrong, but you guys also spelled Expect wrong in the sentence Expect, there was one small problem.... According to me it should be except...

LOL These guys changed it it says "except" now...
