Another Google MayDay Tweak, June 23/24th?

Jun 25, 2010 - 8:19 am 7 by

A new WebmasterWorld thread that has continued Google obsessive watching, is showing signs that Google did another tweak to their latest ranking algorithm.

It seems like the Google MayDay update, which we covered at exhaustion here was not just tweaked a bit on June 2nd but also possibly June 23rd and 24th.

Several SEOs and Webmasters are asking if there is a new update going on. Walkman, a senior member of the forums said:

Lots of tweaking, ups and down for no reason. As much as 10-20% a day.

Another senior member, Shaddows summed up his recent Google experience:

We've had a major shift in referal patterns again.

Just to be clear, when I say "major" I mean, Vince-like. Normally, we see one or two a year. Recently, we have seen them

MayDay Part I
Mayday Part II (around 14th)
June 2
June 23/24

Each of them are "game changers" that would cause a strategic change in SEO practice- a change in how you go about things, not fixable by "fiddling" at a page level.

Have you noticed a change over the past two days with your Google rankings or traffic?
