Google Webmaster Office Hours Google Hangouts

As you all know, I am a big fan of the Google webmaster hangouts mostly done by John Mueller. We learn a lot of new tidbits from there and also start a bit of controversy after covering things he may or may not mean to say.

That being said, Google Hangouts is going away, Google announced it is gone as of September 12, 2016. That means Google needs to find a new venue to host these webmaster hangouts or try something new.

Of course, YouTube Live lets you do Hangouts On Air, but I don't see a QA feature which they use to manage the questions beforehand. There is YouTube Live Chat, which may work but that is only live. He can ask people to post questions somewhere else?

John Mueller doesn't seem nervous about it, he told me on Twitter "We'll see how things work out :-). I imagine there will be some rocky times."

In any event, John scheduled several more Google Webmaster Hangouts on Google+ throughout September 9th, as the following Monday, the feature goes offline. So make sure to check out the last ones, if you can.

I do wonder how John will handle this going forward but I suspect he will try YouTube Live.
