Google Jobs

A couple of weeks ago we reported Google was testing a jobs search feature directly in the search results. This would allow you to search Google for [jobs] or specific types of jobs or location of jobs and get job listings directly in the search results.

Google confirmed at Google I/O yesterday that this will indeed rollout in the upcoming weeks.

Google even posted it on Twitter:

This is powered off of "machine learning" to solve the problem of finding quality employees and matching those who are looking for better jobs with the right company.

So yes, Google is coming out with a feature for searching for jobs. It will use data from third parties, including job search engines. So it won't kill off LinkedIn, Monster.com and others just yet.
