Does Google Drop Featured Snippets Over Typos?

Britney Muller from Moz, no relation to John Mueller from Google, posted on Twitter several weeks ago that Moz lost a featured snippet in Google because the page had a typo, a spelling mistake. She said when she fixed the typo, the page got back its featured snippet in Google.

The query was for [how to choose a domain name moz]. I waited to see if things change over time and the featured snippet is currently not showing.

The typo was with the word choose being written as chose. Here is the featured snippet in Google when it was showing up, but I personally do not see it anymore after the typo was fixed.

The issue with featured snippets is that Google swaps them in and out so fast. You can have a featured snippet today and it can be long gone tomorrow. It can even show for your site now and then change in an hour to another site.

So it is really hard to tell if the featured snippet was lost due to the typo or not. Would be cool if it was, but only Google can confirm that.
