Vic GundotraAs many of you heard by now, Vic Gundotra, announced on Google+ that he is leaving Google.

Vic Gundotra was the Senior Vice President, Social for Google. He was also instrumental with Google I/O related activities. Before joining Google in 2007, he was the general manager at Microsoft. Google Vice President of Engineering, David Besbris, will take his place.

What is next for Vic? I have no idea. I think it would be a big blow to Google if he joined Facebook or Twitter. I doubt he would do that. Chances are, he will join a start up and do something cool. But maybe he goes back to Microsoft, if they will take him back? I am not sure. I just really would find it interesting if he went to Facebook or Twitter.

Here is what Vic said about his departure from Google on Google+:

Vic was a very senior person at Google and he was incredibly accessible. It was actually unusual how responsive and accessible he was. I will personally miss him as a contact at Google and wish him the best in the future.
