Google AdWords Dynamic Search Ads: Ads Without Keywords

AdWords LogoThis is interesting, Google introduced Google Dynamic Search Ads. Basically, Dynamic Search Ads are ads that are auto-generated based off the content of your pages.

Google will crawl your pages, the ones you tell them to crawl, and auto-generated keywords and ad copy for those pages. Google says, it is "a new way to target relevant searches with dynamic ads generated right from your website." Pamela Parker explains this is aimed at "retailers or other advertisers with large, often-changing inventory."

How does it work?

You plug in the URL(s) that you want Google to auto-generate the keywords and ads for:

Google Dynamic Search Ads

And then Google will generate the ads for you:

Google Dynamic Search Ads

Google explains:

The ad enters the auction and competes normally -- but we'll hold it back for any search where you also have an eligible keyword-targeted ad. So you get additive results from broader exposure for more of your in-stock inventory, without disrupting your existing keyword campaigns.

This is a limited beta, if you want in, you can request access over here.

The RKGBlog has a larger write up on how this all works, so check it out over here.
