Video Edition: Weekly Search Buzz Roundup: 1/11/08

search-buzz-roundup.gifTamar posted the January 11, 2008 Roundup and I have been meaning to add videos to her recaps. So this is the first time I am trying to add a video to the recap. Your comments are welcome.

Here is the video summarizing the January 11, 2008 Roundup:

I want your feedback on making these videos. A poll below is an easy way to anonymously tell me if you like it or don't like it. If you like them, I will probably just add them to Tamar's recap and not post a whole new post - this way you can view them in her recap and get the links directly from that post. In addition, Ill probably add more pizzazz to the video, such as diagrams, props, music, transitions, etc. So let me know your thoughts below - feel free to comment also.

Yep.

Here are some responses from Twitter folks:

johnweb @rustybrick I liked the video, played it in the backround while doing other things, multi-tasking. 15 minutes ago from web in reply to rustybrick

Tamar -

You jokes are wicked funny... you should do the weekly recap!

SearchEnginesWEB Never worries bout being anonymous with opinions

Videos and Podcasts ROCK

just focus on the interviewee and not the interviewer - some producers get into an ego bag and insist on being in every video when no one really need to see them

Hey Barry,

I like the video and think it's a great idea! By the way got here via Twitter.

Just curious, are you using a "video sitemap" for your video?

Only additional thought, offering a text transcript below the video might make it's content more accessible to users as well as engines. Did I miss it, is there a transcript? Either way, great idea, great video and I'll look forward to watching more of them in the future. :)

No, not using any sitemaps for anything at this point....
