Google Gumby Art Clokey Logo

Today is the 90th birthday of the late Art Clokey, most well known as the inventor of Gumby.

To remember Art Clokey for his work as a animator and director and for creating the incredibly popular Gumby, Google has a special Gumby logo today on most Google properties.

The logo is animated, so you can click on various colors and the clay will form into Gumby characters, such as horse Pokey.

I was a kid in the 80s when this show was very popular, so it brings back good memories.

Art Clokey was born 90 years ago today, October 12, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan and died recently on January 8, 2010 in Los Osos, California at the age of 88. For more about Art Clokey, see Wikipedia.
