This week, the much anticipated Google Speed Update began rolling out. We did see some limited signs of people chattering about ranking shifts, but nothing substantial as we thought. Google also released the URL Inspector tool to all users in Google Search Console. Google said for SEO provide clear and consistent signals. Google said 5xx errors do cause GoogleBot to slow crawling. Google said the format of your phone numbers do not matter. Google said similar domains to yours do not impact you. Google Search Console reports are extremely accurate Google says. Google wants to learn more about large to medium site migrations. Google explains how to remove videos from the search results. Google added the people also search for feature in search ads. Bing is testing an open in new tab icon. The Search Analytics API now gives you 25,000 rows per request. Bing Webmaster Tools API has been down for the past week. Google publisher knowledge panels are being seen by more searchers. Google Posts added a call now button. Googlers do have feelings, please do be aware. Gary Illyes is leaving Twitter again. Finally, I am sad to report that Bill Atchison has passed away. That was this past week in search at the Search Engine Roundtable.
