Business Insider posted a disclaimer about a new AI pilot where it will use "a custom GPT to help publish quick news stories." This custom GPT was trained on the style of how Business Insider journalists write and will all be edited by an editor at Business Insider.
They wrote that they "will aim to publish a few stories a day using this tool."
When the month long AI pilot is done, the publication will "evaluate the results and consider next steps, including:"
- How can we further improve the tool? How might various teams use it in the future?
- And does it free our staffers to spend more time on the kind of work that leads to distinguishing, impactful journalism?
I wonder how this will all rank in Google Search, AI Overviews and AI Mode.

I do commend the disclosure and heads up.
Meanwhile, the AI on Reddit is ruining the platform for everyone, says Wired.
