Yahoo's 18th Birthday CakeThe internet icon, Yahoo turned 18 years old today.

Yahoo is one of those companies that the internet grew up with. In the past five years or so, the company has been going through some growing pains. Under many new leaderships, taking different approaches to growth and service and always trying to go back to its roots.

Now, ex-Googler, Marissa Mayer is now Yahoo's CEO replacing Scott Thompson, who replaced Carol Bartz, who replaced Jerry Yang who replaced Terry Semel.

The company has lost a lot of good employees but I feel they are on a new trajectory with Marissa Mayer at the helm. I feel Yahoo is becoming a place people want to work again, so that might have positive changes.

Time will tell.

Despite all of this, Yahoo - you are the internet and you deserve a very happy birthday!

To celebrate, I had the Search Engine Roundtable dress up!
