Google Removes Piracy-Related Terms From Instant Search from Search Engine Land explains that Google has taken a step to remove piracy related search suggestions and predictions from showing up in Google's Instant Search results.

So if you search for Torrents, BitTorrent, MegaUploads, Rapidshare and so on, you will not get auto-complete instant results from Google. You will have to go about the search the "slow" way and type in your full search query and click enter.

Not everyone is happy with this change. A Google Web Search Help has one user who is leaving Google over it. He said:

So the autocomplete doesn't suggest bittorrent or torrent anymore?

So, since these copyright lobbyists got their panties in a bunch, you've caved in like some scared children.

When searching for bittorrent video streaming news, or looking for Linux torrents, I feel as though I am being punished for others ill deeds.

http://yandex.com is my new default search engine. You guys are pathetic.

He isn't the only upset individual. The VP of BitTorrent is not happy, as he said in a blog post:

“We respect Google’s right to determine algorithms to deliver appropriate search results to user requests. That being said, our company’s trademarked name is fairly unique, and we’re pretty confident that anyone typing the first six or seven letters deserves the same easy access to results as with any other company search,” Morris said.

Piracy advocates, if there is such a thing, should not be insulted too much. Google is still censoring the term Lesbian, which really upsets the Gay & Lesbian community.
