Maria Callas Google Doodle

Today on the home page of Google you will see a special Google logo, aka Doodle, for Maria Callas. Maria Callas was born today, 90 years ago on December 2, 1923 in New York City. She lived for 53 years and passed in France on September 16, 1977.

Maria Callas is known as one of the most influential opera singers of the 20th century. You can learn more about how she changed Opera and singing at her Wikipedia page.

As you can see from the Google logo, Google is celebrating her work and performances through her voice, as depicted in the Doodle.

We forget sometimes the talented people who first started the Art's. Some we knew by their work but many others we may never quite read about. Thanks Google for reminding us of those who walked in the same footsteps before us.
