Martin Luther King Google Logo

Today is 83rd birthday, and Google has a special logo for the day. Well, actually, it is the 83rd and one day birthday - but America celebrates today as Martin Luther King Day.

For the day, Google has this logo with the "I have a dream..." speech around it.

The design and artwork was from Faith Ringgold, an African American artist who is best know for her painted story quilts. She was born 81 years ago in Harlem, New York. You can learn more about the artist at Wikipedia and more about Martin Luther King, Jr. on Wikipedia.

I appreciate the acknowledgement but not sure if the rolling heads were the best idea.

Great touch from Google I love to see how so many historical events are remembered. The artwork is great and fitting with the speech added around the images.

WTF? The best they can come up with? Looks like one of those African shamans, or a snake. Wow, shame on Google. They should have let Mocality do a nice one

So let me get this straight, Martin Luther king was assassinated so they make a logo to commemorate his day with "rolling heads"? Whomever did or approved this either has a thing against black people or was too stupid to realize this
