Every year we like to give a shout out to those Googlers who are out in the forums helping webmasters on New Years day and eve. This year is no different.
I spotted several threads where Googlers were helping Webmasters over the New Years weekend, but I wanted to highlight those in the Google Webmaster Help forum.
This year, like the previous, Google's JohnMu was replying and helping several webmasters on New Years Eve and New Years Day. But another Googler was around on Saturday, New Years Day helping JohnMu. That Googler is named Jack, but goes as "thejack" in the forums.
Googler, thejack, replied to a webmaster who was upset his site wasn't showing up in Google. He found the reason, he explained, "Problem here was that one of your webmasters had submitted a site removal request which we were still honoring. I cleared that request for you." How nice!
Anyway, these Googlers help webmasters all year round and they do so almost 24/7.
Like I said, this is not uncommon, Googlers helped over New Years in 2010, New Years 2009 New Years 2008. Also Christmas 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2006.
