Google Search Showing Fewer Image Boxes; 25% Drop

RankRanger noticed that not only are the video boxes dropping out of the search results, but also the image boxes. In fact, they noticed a 25% reduction in the number of times the image box shows up for their dataset in Google.

Their SERP tracking tool shows this drop off for image boxes in Google search:

This seemed to have happened around the November 15th update but that may be completely unrelated to this specific update and might just be a coincidence.
