google translate appGoogle quietly announced on Google+ a couple of enhancements to the Google Translate App for Android.

(1) New Languages Added To Image Capture

(2) New Languages Added To Handwriting

New Languages Added To Image Capture

Google has added four new languages to the image camera input translation within the Google Translate app for Android. Specifically, you can now take pictures of the following four new languages and google will translate them. The new languages are Afrikaans, Greek, Hebrew and Serbian. This brings the total of supported languages for image camera input translation to 34.

You can even highlight the section of the image that you want translated.

New Languages Added To Handwriting

Google has also added two new languages to its handwriting translation within the Google Translate app for Android. Specifically, Google added Hindi and Thai handwrite support. This brings the total of handwrite languages supported to 48 languages.
