Google: Rape Is Only Committed By A Man

Search Google for the definition of rape and Google will tell you it is a crime committed by a man. Google says, "the crime, committed by a man, of forcing another person to have sexual intercourse with him."

Here is a screen shot:

Google Define Rape

Most of us know that Google's definitions are algorithmically made up based off of what the internet's content contains. But clearly it is not perfect.

A Google Web Search Help thread has a couple people upset with the definition. One person said:

I hope this will be dealt with quickly. I understand this is handled by an automatic script which aggregates definitions from the web, but this is extremely sexist to say the least.

Statistically, I believe the overwhelming majority of people who do commit rape are men, although there are lots of stats out on the web on this, it is hard to tell what is true or not.

I wonder if Google will race to fix this or not?
