the post and courierA Google News Help thread has complaints from those who enjoy to read the various Charleston Newspapers that Google News is no longer indexing or showing them in the Google News results.

The first report came on April 30th but complaints still are being posted as of this morning. The papers missing, according to the post include:

  • The Charleston Post & Courier
  • The Evening Post
  • The News and Courier
  • The Post and Courier

When I do a search for recent articles on The Charleston Post & Courier I do see them coming up in Google News results:

The Charleston Post & Courier in Google News

But even as of an hour ago, we are seeing complaints from users who are not able to find stories from the papers. One just said, "I feel lost without the Charleston newspapers which I used extensively."

Google has not commented on the issue as of yet.

"One just said, 'I feel lost without the Charleston newspapers which I used extensively.'" Isn't what they're looking for archived on the newspapers' sites?

Some people can't function without Google. They think the only way to get to a site is through this magical portal. Dumb asses.
