There are dozens of reports in the Google Web Search Help forum and Android Central that Google Images is not working properly on specific Android phones and tablets.
One of the earliest reports came several days ago in the Google Web Search forum, where the searcher said:
Why is it when I do a google image search that the thumnail list of images appear but when I click on any of the thumbnails to expand to full screen all I get is a white screen? (Galaxy Slll)
Dozens and dozens of more users running Android started to chime in.
Google has indeed responded claiming they are working on a fix.
On the 28th, Jessica Schwartz from Google (no relation that I am aware of) wrote:
Thank you for continuing to let us know that this is a problem. We've been investigating it and will let you know when there's an update.
Then last night she updated the group saying:
Thank you for continuing to share details. I'm continuing to collect information from the thread and we're working on investigating a fix. I'm sorry for the frustration this is continuing to cause and I'll keep you posted as soon as I have an update!
So a fix is on it's way, hopefully will be released very shortly.
