Google Father's Day LogoGoogle's Zee posted a thread offering an AdWords tip or two for the Father's Day season. As you may know, Father's Day is this Sunday and Google says there are plenty of last minute shoppers and you should target them.

Zee said in a Google AdWords Help said you should target last minute shoppers with free shipping promised in time for Father's Day or special discounts and promotions for last minute shoppers.

Zee wrote in the forums:

Quick tip you might want to apply to your campaign: Last minute reminder for Father’s Day. This way you can target last minute shoppers who are busy to go to store and try to get a present online. Enhanced your ad text with word such as 'Free Delivery', 'Next Day Delivery', or '24hr Delivery', etc. However, be truthful. Don’t offer something you can’t deliver.

Do you have any tips? Share them in the thread!

Obviously not a terrible last minute tweak for text ads, but depending on your own mileage as far as image and other ad approval goes, might not get you a lot of face time pre-Sunday.
