Google Faster DMCA Request Take Downs & Autocomplete Piracy

Google DMCA LegalGoogle announced changes to how they handle some public policy requests.

(1) DMCA takedown requests for Blogger and Web Search will be acted upon within 24 hours.

(2) Blocking piracy related terms from showing up in Google's autocomplete

(3) Google will improve their AdSense anti-piracy review.

(4) Google will also improve the visibility of authorized preview content in search results.

The main things here to me are items one and two. Faster DMCS takedown request actions can be huge and blocking the piracy related autocompletes is nice as well.

A WebmasterWorld thread has discussion around this update. Tedster is excited about the autocomplete change, saying, "It's good to know they have attention on Autocomplete. I have seen very few complaints about false and reputation damaging Suggestions in recent months."

Do you think these policy changes will help in the long run?
