Antoni Gaudí Gets A Google Logo

Antoni Gaudí, a Spanish architect born in Reus, in the Catalonia region of Spain, was remembered by Google on his 161st birthday.

He was born on June 25, 1852 and died at the age of 73 on June 10, 1926. He died in Barcelona from being struck by a passing tram on his walk to Sant Felip Neri church for his habitual prayer and confession.

Antoni was a leader of Catalan Modernism.

His work was represented in the logo (aka Doodle) on Google's home page:
