Last night, if you tried to do a YouTube search, you may have received nothing in return. YouTube is often concerned the second largest search engine due to it's immense popularity. A bug with the search feature prevented many from conducting basic search queries on YouTube.com.

YouTube's Liz confirmed the bug in a YouTube Help thread. Liz said:

Our team is aware of the reason for this bug and tonight the fix is going to be released. The fix will prevent the bug from occurring in the future- so you don't keep running into blank search results when trying to find a video.

I personally tried it this morning and it worked fine for me. If you are having trouble still, Liz offered tips on how to fix the problem.

I wonder how many searches were lost forever in the period of time when this bug existed?
