Google Voice Comes To Gmail, When Is It Coming to Search Results?

I am sure everyone by now knows the news that Google Voice is coming to Gmail. Yes, you will be able to make phone calls via your Gmail page to anyone in your contact list. It is neat. They are also making all calls to US numbers free and charging for international calls. Finally, they are putting telephone booths in airports and such, for free US calling.

That is the news. Personally, I won't be using it. But who knows.

My big question is when is this coming to the search results. You know Skype has a toolbar plugin that converts all phone numbers into actionable links to launch a Skype call. When will that happen with the search results?

You can already do it using the Google Voice plug-in for Chrome (and probably Firefox as well). Here's a quick video showing how it works: http://screencast.com/t/MDRmMzQyMW

It’s not a 100% rollout yet
