Here is a recap of what happened in the search forums today, through the eyes of the Search Engine Roundtable and other search forums on the web.
Search Engine Roundtable Stories:
- How Much Did You Make from Google AdSense in 2007?
A DigitalPoint Forums thread features a poll about the Google AdSense publishers' earnings for the year. It seems that most people have made between $500 and $2000. Another DigitalPoint Forums thread has a lot more varied answers. Someone, for example, made less than $1. A few people made in the $200 or $300 range. Most people, however, really made under $1000. - What Did Search Bloggers Write About Before they Became Celebrities?
Over at Hobo SEO UK, Shaun Anderson wrote a really interesting "take me back to the early days" post about how established SEO and SEMs got started. He looks at many bloggers' very first posts and many have come a long way since then. For example, here's Danny Sullivan's first personal blog post. He said his PayPal account "got limited" and the only way for him to withdraw funds from his account is to mail the check to a US address. He said that when I get the check, I can then send him the money
- Traffic Power's CEO Accused of Huge Foreclosure Scam in Las Vegas
Traffic Power is the name of an SEO company that most SEOs probably still remember. They sued Aaron Wall of SEO Book for writing about their SEO practices. You can see the details of that civil lawsuit over here. Well, Traffic Power is back in the news.
