Google Alerts Now Works with Google Video

Last week, Google announced that Google Alerts is now compatible with Google Video. Barry over at Search Engine Land illustrates how this is done:

Google Video Alerts

Now, Google Alerts can email you when certain key phrases are found in News, Web, Blogs, Comprehensive (News, Web & Blogs combined), Video, and Google Groups. More information can be found at the Google Alerts FAQ.

Already, people are receiving reports about the incoming alerts. Tedster at WebmasterWorld found a video that violated copyright:

I recently got an alert for a new video about a client. It wasn't authorized and it was violating copyright, so this already helped us.

Pretty cool use for alerts, that's for sure.
